About Mrs. Norine



Olivia Norine is in her 16th year as music teacher of Donald Elementary in Flower Mound, TX. Mrs. Norine earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education cum laude from the State University of New York, College at Potsdam (The Crane School of Music). She was a double major in vocal and instrumental music education, also earning a minor in Special Education Music, and was one of the first students at SUNY Potsdam to complete the Advanced Honors Program. She completed her Masters in Educational Leadership from University of North Texas in 2016.

She married her husband John in 2002, and moved to Texas shortly after. After a year of working in social services, she taught high school choir in Dallas ISD before coming to Donald Elementary. At Donald she is active on the campus Design Team. Mrs. Norine directs the Donald Drummers, a group that performs West African-inspired music, and directs the Donald Choir.

Mrs. Norine is an active performer in music theatre around the DFW area. She also enjoys knitting, crochet, and is an avid scuba diver.
